Around the Farm (Spring 2019)

Hello! Hello!

Do you remember us? I can’t believe it’s been almost a year since our last post. It’s been a busy year, with lots of changes, and I wanted to share what’s changed around the farm!

I was pregnant most of last year and of course had no energy for anything, especially farm work. We welcomed our beautiful daughter Ruth on September 29th, 2018.

Of course she’s not that little anymore! She is already sitting up and eating solids at 6 months old. My how time flies…

But back to the farm! We got a few new [adorable] additions this winter.

This is Angus!

Rina think he’s her pet cow.

He is a Jersey bull born December 21st. He is so sweet and gentle! The kids love him! He loves his bottles, cuddling and playing with our lambs.

When his bottle is late, he pitches a fit by throwing my feed bucket into the water, like this:

Little stinker!!

We also recently traded some of our sheep for 3 beautiful Dexter Cows. One bull we named Elvis, and 2 heifers, the older one with horns is a grouch so I named her Maleficent, Mali for short, and the younger one is super sweet and her name is Mia.

They totally posed for me!

We have a few small projects planned soon but nothing too big, and no garden this year either.

Well that’s what we’ve been up to lately! Check back here for weekly updates on what’s going on at Old Blue Farm! See ya soon!
